msa 1000 controller 2 offline wich is redundant

We have MSA 1000 with 4.32FW, we already replaced the controller 2 but the status on hp system management homepage for controller 2 is still offline. We already swap the two controller and we receive the same status.

is the second controller zoned to you host? Check you zoning.

It is possible that the zoning still have a problem? Because when we swap the controller 1 and installed it on slot 2, and the controller 2 is installed in slot 1. The controller 1 in slot 2 become offline and the controller 2 in slot 1 is online

check zoning, switchports, cables etc. It must be hang together with the second path.

Isn't the 4.32FW Active/Passive ? If so then i would expect the standby/passive controller to show offline.

4.32 is A/P, but the controller should be shown as "standby" not "offline".

Maybe I was thinking under the SSP settings the connections to the Standyby controller show offline.

Well, since it IS standby and not offline according to the tech_suppport i suppose there must be something wrong with the SMH agents. Can you try to re-install/update the agents or/and install them on another host?
