Hello Gurus ,
The port error show on one of my brocade 5000 is attached ( for clarity ) .There are "enc out" and "loss sig" and "loss sync" . should i be concerned about this , whad colums should i be watching for a switch with problems .

Hi!
These errors might be there for a long time. You need to reset the counters and check how fast they grow. Use portstatsclear on a port of interest and check back in an hour with portstatsshow or porterrshow. If you see counters growing, you have to worry.

enc_out = encoding errors outside of frames.

has some more details.
"Statisically, enc_out errors on their own imply a cable/connector problem. Enc_out
errors and crc_err together imply GBIC/SFP problem"
