pvdisplay /dev/sda Found duplicate PV, and multipath OK
Hi,
a Red-Hat 5.2 server was running with a LUN mapped on an EVA4000, but without multipathd daemon started, and i got this message giving always the /dev/sdd active:
[root@srvora ~]# pvdisplay /dev/sdd
Found duplicate PV viOaYHfdtEoHqkndf4gFI9VIBzKm7vEj: using /dev/sda not /dev/sdd
Found duplicate PV viOaYHfdtEoHqkndf4gFI9VIBzKm7vEj: using /dev/sdb not /dev/sda

Allocatable yes
PE Size (KByte) 4096
Total PE 153599
Free PE 2507
Allocated PE 151092
PV UUID viOaYH-fdtE-oHqk-ndf4-gFI9-VIBz-Km7vEj
[root@srvora ~]# pvdisplay /dev/sda

I installed HP Device Mapper 4.4, then started multipath daemon, and the output of the multipath -ll command give 4 paths OK, but i got always the message above with the pvdisplay command.
then i reboot and the sanme behavior
Is there a workaround to it?
