show portnames on a Brocade SAN Switch with plink

Hi,

i try this

"plink.exe hostname -l user -pw password portname"

and thats the result

"rbash: portname: command not found"

What is the problem? Any ideas?

It looks like the portname is not allowed whith that user because of the rbash restrictions.

What user are you using to connecto to the switch? You should not do this with the root user.

For example:

plink user@ssa -pw portname

Works correctly.
Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?

Thanks.

I'm not a Brocade admin and i only try to set the portname with a script.

The "root" and "admin" accounts are the standard ones and both give me a "rbash: portname: command not found".

Any hints for the Brocade admin? ;)
