slow performance of on P4300G2
hi ,
i want to know that i have LHN P4300G2 with 3 blade servers , two servers are on clustring environmet n they share few partition,
if i copy the file of let's say 50 GB from one shared drive to other shared drive , it tooks near about 110 min, means it took more then 2 min for one GB .
my question is , is this ok or there is some thing to do with the SAN.

Re: slow performance of on P4300G2
the first thing to do is establish there are no error conditions on either site e.g no failed disks, amber lights or other issues on the san.
the next thing is to try to get as simple a combination and do some baseline testing.
e.g export one volume to one server and do a simple I/O test to get some idea of baseline. if you are getting 50-100Mbyte/sec then you can probably rule out the storage as being the place to start looking and instead look at the interconnect or the clustering etc.
