using Replication instead of BC license ?

Can I present Replication Vdisk to my backup server ??? and use of them for backup ?
Then there is no need to purchase BC license ?
Regards

Re: using Replication instead of BC license ?

On your first question: do you mean from your destination EVA? Anyway, the answer is: yes.

The backup part I am not so good at.

With the BC license you can have more control - like get the disk in a controlled state/database turned off or whatever.

No. You will not be able to directly access the destination disks while they are still part of the DR Group.... (unless something has changed since last time I was asked if this was possible.)
