HPE Ezmeral ML Ops platform receives Honorable Mention

HPE receives Honorable Mention in the March 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Science and Machine Learning Platforms (DSML)

HPE-Ezmeral-Gartner-MQ-HM-blog.pngHewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) received an Honorable Mention in the March 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Science and Machine Learning Platforms[i] (DSML). This report evaluates platforms data scientists use to source data, build models, and operationalize machine learning. The Honorable Mention was received by the HPE Ezmeral software portfolio, which includes the HPE Ezmeral Data Fabric, HPE Ezmeral ML Ops, and HPE Ezmeral Container Platform. The software provides orchestration to increase agility, cost-efficiency, security, and delivery for data-intensive AI and ML projects.

We believe, this recent recognition shows the impact the HPE Ezmeral portfolio is having on the marketplace. Although the HPE Ezmeral Software brand was officially announced less than a year ago, the press, analysts, and customers are taking notice. The HPE Ezmeral ML Ops solution provides a complete, composable machine learning lifecycle solution — to build, train, deploy, and monitor machine learning and deep learning models at scale. It is quickly gaining market share because it overcomes the barriers large enterprises face in deploying and operationalizing artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) across their organizations.

Rapid product development in a vibrant yet messy field

The Garter Magic Quadrant report explains that DSML is a crowded field, which is both vibrant and messy. According to the report, “Vendors weave together rapidly evolving proprietary solutions with numerous open-source components and increasingly complex partnership networks.”

With the recent release of HPE Ezmeral Container Platform and ML Ops 5.3, HPE further advances its offering to make it easier for organizations to accelerate product development and innovation with their data and applications. For instance, the open-source Apache Spark 3.x operator is now integrated into HPE Ezmeral ML Ops, allowing clients to immediately take advantage of the latest and greatest features of Spark for data engineering and model training.

HPE Ezmeral ML Ops streamlines the data science process and brings DevOps-like speed and agility to the ML workflow. From sandbox experimentation with a choice of ML/DL frameworks and model training on containerized distributed clusters to deploying and tracking models in production, HPE Ezmeral ML Ops supports every stage of the machine learning lifecycle.

Additionally, HPE helps operationalize analytics by leveraging a wide variety of validated partner applications to improve deployment reliability of end-to-end solutions. With the recently announced HPE Ezmeral Marketplace, HPE clients and partners can build a robust data science practice using a one-stop shop for HPE Ezmeral-validated Independent Software Vendor (ISV) applications and running them on HPE Ezmeral ML Ops.

The HPE Ezmeral portfolio is also offered as a service via HPE GreenLake, providing high-performance, on-premises container and ML Ops solutions in a pay-per-use model. HPE engineers perform installation and configuration, and HPE provides complete management of the solution, a single point of contact for support, and an expert technical team. With a standardized hardware and software build, an organization can avoid a costly manual deployment with a solution delivered to their data center in as few as fourteen days.

Success or failure for the enterprise?

As organizations worldwide seek to scale their digital business, many will fail because they do not take a modern approach to data and analytics governance. That’s because data lives in silos in different formats, with different security and privacy requirements. Additionally, it's hard to set up new environments for model building. And the lack of standardization means data science projects often can't get past the pilot stage.

With HPE Ezmeral ML Ops, enterprises can achieve the modern, digital transforming approach they require to succeed. Read below what HPE customers have to say about the HPE Ezmeral solution.

A large, financial company deployed HPE Ezmeral Container Platform and HPE Ezmeral ML Ops in production to drive greater business agility and IT flexibility on Kubernetes. They are also delivering personalized experiences throughout their customers’ lifecycle and leveraging telematics data for economic risk analysis.

“With the HPE Ezmeral Container Platform, we have deployed containerized applications for machine learning and data analytics running in production in a multi-tenant hybrid cloud architecture, for multiple use cases from credit risk analysis to improving customer experience.”

VP of Emerging Data Technology, Large Financial Co.

A major U.S. non-profit hospital chose HPE Ezmeral ML Ops to provide data science teams with secure, multi-tenant environments for machine learning operations. They are also developing new predictive models using data from past anti-viral medication clinical trials in the effort to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I’m grateful that our hospital data scientists will now be able to leverage this platform to continue the fight against this pandemic. We are all in this together.”

Senior Program Manager, Enterprise Data and Digital Health Program, Major U.S. Non-profit Hospital
