HP 2910al replacement

Hi

I have a HP 2910al that is not functioning properly and would like to replace it with a HP 2920. The question is, I have a CX4 module in the 2910 which is connected to the server 10Ge. Can I use the CX4 module in the 2920?

Aruba 2920's QuickSpecs document reports the J9143B (HP X122 1G SFP LC BX-U Transceiver) as supported.

The J9143A isn't listed...but maybe...you can do an hands on test and discover if you're really out of luck with that transceiver (A and B look very similar...).

Remember that Aruba 2920 from a specific software version of its 16.02 branch permits some third party Tranceivers to work...where before they were unsupported: this new feature could eventually help.
