M Series switch for DHCI

For M Series switch for DHCI setup, is it possible to route data traffic though the MGMT interface?
Is MGMT0 in default VRF or mgmt VRF?
For example, MGMT0 has address 10.10.10.2, Gateway is 10.10.10.1. Can my traffic on VLAN 10 let say a workstation with IP address 10.10.10.3 which is on the default VRF be able to talk to gateway 10.10.10.1 via the MGMT interface?
Is it possible to make this work?

Re: M Series switch for DHCI

Hi @jchen522,

I don't think so - the mgmt0 interface is a dedicated "out-of-band" interface, so you don't want to be routing data traffic via that even if it were somehow possible to make it work. It is used only for switch management, as well as for a keep-alive connection when you cluster two switches together for multi-chassis link aggregation (MLAG).

For data traffic you'll want to uplink your switches to the rest of your LAN via regular interfaces - usually done with an MLAG.
