Nimble-Vmware6.7 Vasa Error

Hi

I have configuired a Vmware 6.7 cluster with Nimble storage. I have manged to succesfully intergrate Nimble with vCenter. Storage Provider is avaible and on line, hoever my Protocol End Points are empty. The logs show that i have certificate issues. i have confirmed that the time on all hosts are in sysnc. Below are the logs

[root@ESXi-01:~] esxcli storage vvol vasaprovider list
SAN01
VP Name: SAN01
URL: https://10.10.10.40:8443/vasa/version.xml
Status: syncError
Arrays:
Array Id: NimbleStorage:28e27bf3365280e7
Is Active: true
Priority: 0

error vvold[2197079] [Originator@6876 sub=Default] Initialize: Unable to init session to VP SAN01 state: 0
info vvold[2197073] [Originator@6876 sub=Default] VasaSession::GetEndPoint: with url https://10.10.10.40:8443/vasa/version.xml
warning vvold[2197073] [Originator@6876 sub=Default] VasaSession::GetEndPoint: failed to get endpoint, err=SSL Exception:
error:14094416:SSL routines:ssl3_read_bytes:sslv3 alert certificate unknown, using default
info vvold[2197073] [Originator@6876 sub=Default] VasaSession::Initialize url is empty
warning vvold[2197073] [Originator@6876 sub=Default] VasaSession::DoSetContext: Empty VP URL for VP (SAN01)!
info vvold[2197073] [Originator@6876 sub=Default] Initialize: Failed to establish connection https://10.10.10.40:8443/vasa/version.xml

I think this may be an issue with certs but not sure. i have tried to reset the vvold ssl, refreshed the host certs and renewwd, no luck.

VMFS daatastore is woring fine.

Please help!

Re: Nimble-Vmware6.7 Vasa Error

Hello,

More information will be needed to pinpoint the exact problem.  What kind of certs are used: self-signed or VMCA signed?  What is the version of ESXi?  Ideally please open a case with Nimble support and they can help look into details.  Meanwhile this VMware KB seems potentially useful: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/67744
