Not sure if this is the right place for this, but I have not been able to find a category that this would fit into very well...
I just finished deploying a Nimble dHCI solution and upon the customer's request, we wanted to upgrade the solution to 7.0, or at the least... the latest 6.7 versions available)
When browsing to the update page in the plug-in, I am presented with the following:
As there is a "mis-match" in versions, all of the options are greyed out. Since the NCM and NimbleOS are already updated, can I just set up VUM to update the hosts to 17700523, then separately run the SPP for the firmware?

MCSE (NT 4.0, W2K, W2K3)
VCP (ESX2, Vi3, vSphere4, vSphere5, vSphere 6.x)

NPP3 (Nutanix Platform Professional)

Re: Nimble dHCI One-Click upgrade...
Hi
if you want to see updates to version 7.0 you must first upgrade vcenter to version 7.0
also the One-Click upgrade you see is according to the matrix but you can still do manual updates
to version 7.0 even if it does not show.
Regards

Re: Nimble dHCI One-Click upgrade...
Thanks. I realize that I would need to upgrade vCenter to 70, to get those catalogs. My bigger concern is that I can't upgrade to the latest 6.7 right now with the one-click upgrade.
Just want to make sure I am not missing something before I manually do it.
Can't go to 7.0 yet until after migration as there are some older systems that would not be able to import into a vCenter 7 instance.

Re: Nimble dHCI One-Click upgrade...
Hi
I think HPE removed the one click updated for version 7.0
before it was removed the version listed was VMware-ESXi-7.0.1-17325551-HPE-701.0.0.10.6.3.9-Jan2021
but even then I upgraded to the latest version through Vmware lifecycle manager and it worked fine
also I have had several attempts to get specific version supported from Nimble support with no success.
they always refer to the Matrix which doesn't specify build numbers.
so I think it is better to do a manual upgrade.

SolutionAfter speaking with support, it was recommended to just do a manual upgrade since the catalog entries do not allow for going back to older versions.
