Unmanaged snapshots
Hi
I have some unmanaged snapshots and i am getting daily alerts for those unmanaged snapshots.
where can i find some documentation about what snapshots come under unmanaged and how to solve this issue.
and how to manage these snapshots.
Please let me know

Re: Unmanaged snapshots
Unmanaged snapshot might came from:
1) Some snapshots which originally created by volume collection; but then VC were removed later hence those snapshots didn't get removed (retention) and became orphaned snapshots.
2) While customer extend the volume size, system will automatically create a snapshot (name start with "Nss") for recovery purpose; in case something goes wrong at file system level.... Those kind of system snapshot will not be clean up automatically and requires administrator to remove that as the normal house keeping task.
