deduplication on affected volumes

A customer is experiencing read cache hit ratios well below 80 percent on an HPE Nimble HF40 array Data is constantly being ejected from the Nimble array's First In First Out cache What should you recommend?

  1. Upgrade the SSD bundle to add more capacity.
  2. Enable InfoSlght's Al-based cache optimization setting
  3. Turn off deduplication on affected volumes
  4. Turn on deduplication on affected volumes.

Re: deduplication on affected volumes

Hello, @DoHuuBa Good day!
Given the options, I would choose: Turn off deduplication on affected volumes

@DoHuuBa  I hope this helps!

Re: deduplication on affected volumes

Is it causing a performance issue?  the cache eviction may be down to the nature of the workload  and have little to do with dedupe being enabled, You could try creating a new volume without dedupe and migrating the data to it to see if the issue changes,
