Best way to force alerts to be generated into OneView
We are going to be rolling out OneView integrated with a 3rd party ticketing system. We will have someone onsite to pull things to generate alerts into OneView so we can validate the tickets are being generated and wanted to know what are the best ways to force alerts into OneView?
Things that we do know are:
- Pulling redundant power (this is not possible as the testing will be in a time that power can't be touched)
- Pulling a hard disk
- Pulling network cables out
- Pulling HBA cables
Are there any other options to force Alerts into OneView?

What do you mean by "forced"? Do you mean for testing purposes? What ticketing system are you integrating this into?
I am an HPE employee

Re: Best way to force alerts to be generated into OneView
Correct, we want to test ticket being created on our ServiceNow ticketing system. We are integrating the alerts into ServiceNow ticketing via a script that converts alerts in OneView into ServiceNow.

Did not find a solution for this either. Is there an HPE OneView integration with ServiceNow guide with step by step integration steps including generating test events to open test incidents?

Re: Best way to force alerts to be generated into OneView
Can't you just set up servicenow to receive traps from oneview? If servicenow can be set to receive e-mails, you can forward alerts that way also. You can create a filter to only send the level of alert that you think is appropriate.
