Better reports - or how do i connect Power BI to OneView?
Hi everyone,
i am kind of a new user.
Today i wanted to find out which "intelligent provisioning" versions we have.
I have the list under "reports" - "server firmware inventory".
But i cannot filter for component names. So i decided to export it as excel and filter there.
One question .. why?
To analyze it we need every component name in a row.
Is there any way to get to the database with OData or something like this to transform it to something we can use?
Best regards
Stephan

Re: Better reports - or how do i connect Power BI to OneView?
This is due to non-standard data types to consolidate within a report. If you need granular type of data, then you will need to use the REST API of the appliance. We do not provide any direct access to the internal database. This data you are after is contained in the /rest/server-hardware/*/firmware API call. We provide the REST API Reference documentation on the appliance. From the main screen, click the ? in the upper right, and there will be a link to it on the flyout panel.

Thanks Chris. I will have a look into that.
Do you have a kind of uservoice for OneView where you can post suggestions for future versions?
