CA Signed Cert lost after restore from backup

I had to restore my appliance from a two week old backup; however, the SSL certificate for the appliance is now the default HPE self-signed certificate and not the internal CA certificate that we had configured for the OV Instance.

Is this expected behavior?

Is there a way to recover the SSL certificate from Backup or not?

Any other solution besides generating a new CSR and created a new internal CA cert to use?

This is the current design.  Appliance settings like networking, which the CA signed cert would be tied to, is not backed up.  This is documented here.  If you have the generated signed cert that you needed to install on the appliance, you would use the very same file to restore it.
