Global dashboard update uploading stuck in a loop

Trying to update from the dashboard 2.0 to 2.4 (or 2.32).

Uploading the bin file gets stuck in a loop where it uploads, briefly verifies, then uploads it again, and again.. never ends.

Ideas?

Process eventually fails with "Internal error while uploading a bin file"

Re: Global dashboard update uploading stuck in a loop

Do you have any special groups configured on your OVGD appliance?  If not, you can always deploy a brand new one, as the data collected will be recaptured from the OV appliances you connect.

Otherwise, without an appliance support dump, it is difficult to say why the update is failing.  If you wish to further troubleshoot this, I would suggest you open a support case, and be prepared to provide an OVGD appliance support dump.

Re: Global dashboard update uploading stuck in a loop

Hi Chris, I have a case open with support (sdmp provided) but have got nowhere,

We suspect that the filesystem may be full but without console access we can't prove or address this.

We do have appliance backups so, in the absence of any meaningfull response from support, are just going to redeploy and restore the appliance.

Re: Global dashboard update uploading stuck in a loop

Issue is resolved.

apache timeouts had to be manually edited requiring support to logon via ssh.

/etc/httpd/conf.d/00proxy-hubble.conf.

Change the following line from:

RequestReadTimeout header=20-40,MinRate=500 body=20-40,MinRate=500

To

RequestReadTimeout header=20-300,MinRate=500 body=20-300,MinRate=500

A reboot is then required.
