I am a long time HPE SIM user and comtemplating moving to OneView "Free" version for just monitoring of rack servers (no blades, no storage, no converged, no VMs - just basic ProLiant DL monitoring). Is there a good source of information for those of us moving from SIM to OneView that answers the questions of "How do I do in OneView what I currently do in SIM"? Basically a transition tutorial or white paper. I have a basic instance spun up - but I am feeling quite overwhelmed on what I should do next. I want it to work like SIM - but I am guessing that is not the correct approach to take.
Thanks
NK

SolutionMost of HPE OneView is applicable to manage supported systems. For monitoring, you would primarily focus on the Server Hardware section of HPE OneView. We don't' have a whitepaper that would compare HPSIM with HPE OneView, as they are two completely different tools. To monitor supported platforms, please review the Online Help:
- Pre-requisites for adding server into OneView
- Enabling health monitoring for legacy servers
- Server hardware monitoring features
