Notifications oneview
Hi,
I would like to have a notification(by mail) when the scheduled backup is unable to backup to remote location. I have tried a bunch of different filters but no one seems to work.
Can someone help me?
Best,
Sondre

Re: Notifications oneview
What you are looking for is associatedresourcecategory:backups. In the future, use the Guided radio button to select the category types, then switch it to Advanced to see the syntax.

Re: Notifications oneview
Hi,
thank you for the answer.
I tried this, then i tried to generate a fake alarm by deleting the folder the remote backup was suppose to download to. Then I get this error "Unable to download backup to remote backup location", but still the filter "the associatedresourcecategory:backups" wouldnt pick up on this and send a mail.
Do I need to add more alert criteria?
Best,
Sondre

Re: Notifications oneview
Hi,
I have tried with these combinations (and only these in the filter alone):
1.associatedresourcecategory:backups
2.alertTypeId:Backup.BackupNotTaken
3. alertTypeId:Backup.ScheduledBackupNotTaken
Also tried the test email function and that works
