OA Failover Event in OneView 4.0
Hopefully a quick one, but should an OA Failover event trigger an alert (even an informational one) in OneView?
During testing, when we disabled the switch port, failover occured as expected, it was reported in the OA logs, but there was no notification in OneView.

Re: OA Failover Event in OneView 4.0
Hello,
yes you should see in the activity feed that the 'Onboard Administrator or other management processor has claimed the role of primary' and OA Link Up messages - all auto cleared. If the failover was not successfull you'd receive a 'connection to enclosure could not be made' critical error.

Re: OA Failover Event in OneView 4.0
I see the OA link down / OA link up messages which all auto-cleared.
There is no 'Onboard Administrator or other management processor has claimed the role of primary' or similar message.

Re: OA Failover Event in OneView 4.0
What you are seeing is the correct notifications. If there are no issues and the failover works correctly then OneView simply reports the loss and then reconnection to the OA(s).
