OV for vCenter - adding Network puts host in Maint Mode

I am testing OV4VC 8.2.

Adding a Network works beautifully in the OV for vcenter plugin but it puts the host in maintenance mode before adding the port group to the vmware virtual switch. This makes this feature highly unusable in production

If I were to do this manually, there is no need to put a host in Maint Mode to add a port group to a virtual switch. Why is OV4VC putting host in Maint Mode.

can a enhancement request be put to not do this so that this feature can be used in Production, because I don't think anyone would want their hosts put in MM for a BAU operation like adding a port group to a VDS.
