OneView 4.10.1 - Finding information about a Component failure?
Hello,
Back again, plenty of things to ask lately.
I am reviewing an alert relating to a component interface card for one of our 3PAR. Since OneView is set to manage the 3PAR, with in the GUI is there an area i can see this alert? Some people have noted issues like this "self-healing" but I would like to know for sure before assuming everything is running fine..
The Alert, main part being
Abstract:
(Major)IFC(1)|CAGE3 COMP_STATE failed. Interface Card Firmware Unknown
Subject: 3PAR-1644982-7:(Major)IFC(1)|CAGE3 COMP_STATE failed. I had come across this site, but I would prefer to not run update commands with out knowing what they are doing, or if even safe on a production environment

Any help is appreciated

Re: OneView 4.10.1 - Finding information about a Component failure?
Hello @ronissac
The issue is, I do not see a
Interface Card 1 Cage 3
Listed in OneView matching that.
I also do not see any Alerts under OneView / Activity that comes close to what the message has given me.
I went under OneView / Storage Systems and to the Storage system that matched the Serial number, then to Activity but the last reported entry is May 16th 2018, nothing past that, so it appears OneView did not log this error?
