I have been investigating this for a long time trying, and tweaking the configuration in a million ways. I just get an error saying to check the configuration :(

Fields are as such: Directory: Blank.Local

Directory Type: Active Directory

Search Context:

First= CN

Second =OU=Privileged Accounts, OU=Network Accounts, OU=Company Production

Third= DC=blank,DC=local

Directory Servers Page:

DCName.Blank.Local

Port = 636 (Verified port is open an funcitonal)

Cert = Exported form DCName.Blank.local personal cert store as a base 64 encoded.

Error: "Cannot Authenticate the server with the given credentials, search context and certificate.

the account i'm using is in that search contect too. Can someone pelase help!

Re: OneView Add Directory

Have you reviewed the Securing the Appliance chapter (starting on page 108) in the HPE OneView Deployment and Management Guide?

In most cases, the user account you are trying to authenticate with isn't being used in the allowed format.  Can you specify if you are using the UPN (aka Email Address User Name format), Distinguished Name, or Display Name format?  We redesigned the Authentication Directory configuration in HPE OneView 2.0.  Not suggesting you should upgrade solely for that, but you may want to concider.

I didn't think for a second that it wouldn't be the username :(. I read this and immediately tried the display name value and now it works!

Thanks very much!
