In an environment with non-VC switches (e.g c7000 + 6120xg), is OneView still useful?
What happens when OneView replaces Insight?
From what I've been reading, OneView seems to work best in VC Flex environments.

SolutionHP OneView requires the presense of redundant Virtual Connect Ethernet-capable modules (minimum of 2.) Other non-VC modules can be inserted into the enclosure, but they will be unmanaged/unclaimed by OneView, and the associated adapters will not be managed (Connections in the Server Profile.)
As for Insight Control, we will continue to support that platform for both HP and heterogenious environments. I would encourage you to reach out to your HP Sales Team or Partner for more information.
We cannot comment on futures and unreleased/unannounced products in a Public forum such as this.

Re: OneView and non-VC Interconnect Modules

>HP Virtual Connect FlexFabric 10Gb/24-Port Module.
>HP Virtual Connect Flex-10 10Gb Ethernet Module.
>HP Virtual Connect Flex-10/10D Module for HP BladeSystem C-class.
All other HP or Non HP VC modules can work in environment with unmanaged support.
