OneView for VMware - where goes the logging?

Hi,

I am having a problem with OneView for VMware:

After install of OneView for VMware 7.7.1, the HP icons do not appear on the Vcenter web client.

We tried all suggestion posted in this forum (name resolution, complete uninstall) but no luck sofar.

In order to troubleshoot this: Is there logging somewhere from this plugin? I hope this points me in the right direction...

Many thanks and best regards,

Joost

Re: OneView for VMware - where goes the logging?

Hello @JoostMulders, and welcome to the HP OneView Community Forums.

Logging is located in a few different locations:

  • hpuim.log located in \Program Files (x86)\HP\HP OneView for VMware vCenter\uim
  • hpserver.log located in  \Program Files (x86)\HP\HP OneView for VMware vCenter\uim

Are you attmepting to install the plugin in a vSphere 6 environment?  If so, did you add your vCenter and Platform Services Controller hosts?  Can you make sure if you provide the FQDN of the vCenter host that it resolved with nslookup on the Windows VM/host?
