OneView for vCenter Server Data Error
Hi,
Testing out the latest OV4VC (10.4) and I'm getting an error when looking at the ESXi host's HPE Server Hardware view / consistency check.
Is this expected behavior if we aren't using OneView Server Profiles?
Error: "Error while retrieving all server data from OneView."
vCenter is 7U3
Servers are DL380 Gen 9 and 10
OneView is ver. 6.00

Re: OneView for vCenter Server Data Error
Hello MCSAP,
Yes profiles are required and they need to be applied on hosts if they have to be managed through OV4VC

Re: OneView for vCenter Server Data Error
That is correct. The Consistency Check is checking the compliance of each host's OneView Server Profile configuration against the OneView Server Profile Template for that host. So it is looking for any configuration drift between the profile and the template.
Server Profiles are not required for general server inventory and health, but they are required for the Consistency Check.
