Oneview 4.00.09 component renaming

Hello,

I would just like to know if renaming the following components can be done on the fly, without any downtime:

• Logical Interconnect Group
• Logical Interconnects
• Network Sets
• Networks
• Enclosure Groups

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, you can rename resources within HPE OneView and will not impact the operational state of those resources.  HPE OneView does not use resource names when building and managing associations.  You may have scripts or automation tools that may look for specific resources based on their name.  So, adjust those processes accordingly.

Thank you for the response. Is anyone else able to back this up, or can you advise of your expertise as HPE support have advised that this cannot be changed without downtime.

I am thinking that you are correct though as I do not have much confidence in the 1st level of support at HPE.
