SNMPv3 Engine ID on ProLiant GEN9 iLO
As I am adding GEN9 servers to OneView, I am noticing the "SNMPv3 Engine ID" field is blank in the Management page of the iLO. Whereas, on a GEN10, this is populated.
In general, what is the purpose of the Engine ID? Does OneView require this? Will something not work correctly, in regards to OneView, if this is blank?
Thanks
NK

Re: SNMPv3 Engine ID on ProLiant GEN9 iLO
Hi
The SNMPv3 Engine ID sets the unique identifier of an SNMP engine belonging to an SNMPagent entity. User can configure this value when Agentless Management is selected.
SNMP V3 EngineID Field on the iLO 4 Webpage Will Not Update Until Initialized and Prevents SMNPv3 from Functioning
