When monitor a DL380Gen8 and not all NICs used
Hi!
When monitor a DL380Gen8 and not all NICs are used they will warn in OneView (of course).
What is the best way to avoid this?
Best Regards

Re: When monitor a DL380Gen8 and not all NICs used
Unfortunately, the only way today is to disable the NIC within the OS. If it is a VMware ESXi host, then you can't disable a NIC within the OS.

Re: When monitor a DL380Gen8 and not all NICs used
There is a 'workaround' for VMware as well... The NICs that you don't use (and so in disconnected state) you can add them into Direct Path I/O configuration (under Advanced Settings)...
At that moment the NICs won't be shown anymore as disconnected...

Re: When monitor a DL380Gen8 and not all NICs used
Hi!
Thanks for a quick reply.
Maybe there is time for improvement. A tickbox in OneView "Do not monitor this NIC"

There is always room for improvements to products. I'll make sure your feedback is taken back to the product team for prioritization of future releases.
