Logical drive state: Background parity initialization is currently queued or in progress on this log

Hi,

I have swapped on disk out of 6 with raid5. Now it is showing as raw disk and the data mirroring is not done and not showing data.

error shows 785

Background parity initialization is currently queued or in progress on Logical Drive 2 (2.3 TB, RAID 5). If background parity initialization is queued, it will start when I/O is performed on the drive. When background parity initialization completes, the performance of the logical drive will improve.

Hi , 

From my understanding if you took out only one disk drive should be still online. If you took out one drive and one more drive is faulty array would go into offline mode. 

Parity initialization would take some time depends of drives type and array size.

I have 6 disks confirgured with raid 5. i have replaced 1 faulty drive and removed and inserter another drive.

I have report, but not able to attach in any of the formats...

Active tasks showing as "Logical Drive 2 is undergoing parity initialization"
