HPE Simplivity 380 Gen10 Performance Matrix
I am currently validating a Simplivity based solution where Sequential Read performance (Thgrouput) is critical, but have not been able to find any information regarding that metric.
Have found information on IOPS per Node family (4000/6000 XS, S, M, L, XL), as well as Write throuhgput MB/s (Provided by HPE Specialist) - but no reference to Read performance
I'd hate to have to rely on generic calculators (wintelguy.com and the likes...) which tells me a Large 6000 can deliver 4,769 MB/sec (Sounds right?) - based on 872522-001 1.92TB Solid State Drive (SSD) performance data (500 MiB/Sec Read throuhput)
Does anyone have a reference I can use?
Regards!
Mauricio

Re: HPE Simplivity 380 Gen10 Performance Matrix
Hi Mauricio,
Thanks for your patience with this.
Unfortunately, I have been unable to locate any such benchmarking documentation surrounding Read Performance specifically.
I'm assuming you are a SimpliVity end-user, and not an HPE employee here, but I would recommend contacting your HPE SimpliVity accounts team who may be able to put through a request to have such benchmarking carried out?
Other than this, I'm afraid I cannot provide much else to assist you here.
Hope you understand.
Thanks,
DeclanOR - I am a HPE Employee

Thanks DeclanOR
Yes, I have contacted with our local HPE team but with no luck also. Guess we’ll have to do with what is available.
Thanks for you response!
Regards!
Ps: I am w/channel partner
Saludos cordiales,
Mauricio Chavez S.

Re: HPE Simplivity 380 Gen10 Performance Matrix
Hi Mauricio,
Thanks for your reply.
Seems like you are a step ahead of me, and have already went down the route of speaking with your accounts team.
I will keep this conversation in mind going forward, and if any such document does become available at any stage, I will post it to this thread for you.
Apologies again.
Un saludo,
DeclanOR
