Upgrade Mananager Issue Upgrading from 4.0.1 to 4.1.0 with MVA

Hi,

I have a problem with the upgrade manager when updating from 4.0.1 to 4.1.0 with an MVA.

The messages is: Cannot access the Management Virtual Appliance from the hypervisor management system.

I rebooted the vcenter and the MVA. I also check the communicatuin between vCenter and MVA. All seems ok but the problem is still their.

Any idea?

Regards

Ric

Hi RicT1,

Can you please try to log in to the Upgrade Manager using the IP of the vCenter (HMS) and check if the inventory is fetched ?

Re: Upgrade Mananager Issue Upgrading from 4.0.1 to 4.1.0 with MVA

Hi Shivam,

Finally i solved the issue with help of the Hpe Simplivity support team by removing the MVA.

The procedure was:

1) Retrieve the MVA Id with command dsv-mva-show

2) Remove the MVA with command dsv-mva-delete --id 'xxxxx' --force

3) Execute a special script from the support team dsv-federation-switch --mva-enabled false

After this procedure, i was able to start the upgrade through upgrade manager.
