sorry for Google Tranlation:
Hello, I bought a 4/16 san Switch used! Unfortunately, I can not connect via serial and serial to RJ45. Only via telnet, ssh, "browser (ip I can change via EZSetup) (java error)" Access but only from login! Since used and not reset, of course I have NO "admin", "root" or "factory" password! Does anyone know a solution how I can still reset the device? Is there a PIN on motherboard (JP2 for example) where the access to IOIO is blocked or you can delete the (??? CMOS ???)?
have already used original cable (serial <-> RJ45) and also one from Cisco, both go to CISCO Switch but not HP 4/16 SAN SWITCH!
I'm soon retrained IT specialist system. and hope you can help me.

Re: A7985A
Hi Roy Mueller, I am researching your question with HPE Engineering Resolution for what we may be able to provide you to implement the switch, if that is possible. I have not found an HPE document yet. The HPE 4/16 SAN Switch (A7985A) is a Brocade Silkworm 200E underneath running FOS. You may want to search the Brocade community site for similar questions or issues with re-implementing a Silkworm 200E. I will get back to you with what I find. Thanks Ken Porter

Re: A7985A
Hi Roy,
Search the web for ‘Brocade 200E /sbin/passwddefault’.
This is the text from one link you will find. Read this Brocade document on Password Recovery.
[PDF]Brocade Fabric OS Password Recovery Notes - Brocade Community
https://community.brocade.com/.../53_1000114_02_FOS_Password_Recovery.pdf
Per HPE and Brocade, this switch is end-of-support-life and "you use documents at your own risk". (Sorry, It's the party line.)
I hope this helps.
