Re: Storageworks 8/8 San Switch not booting
Hi RichTea1973
Thank you for coming to the HPE Community forums.
I understand that you are having issues booting up the switch. However, could please ensure to try the below steps to narrow down the issue.
To power on the HP StorageWorks 8/8 or 8/24 SAN Switch:
- Connect the power cable to the AC inlet on the switch and to a power source. The switch powers on automatically, as there is no ON/OFF switch.
- To power off, remove the power cord from the power source.
NOTE: The switch runs power-on self-test (POST) by default each time it is powered on, reset, or rebooted. The power supply LEDs display amber until POST completes, and then change to green. The switch usually requires from 1 to 3 minutes to boot and complete POST.

Mahesh

Re: Storageworks 8/8 San Switch not booting
Hi Mahesh,
Yes, this has been tried, the unit is out of service currently for obvious reason, but never a change in output.
Kind Regards

Re: Storageworks 8/8 San Switch not booting
Hi RichTea1973
From the output which is shown above, I suspect that the DRAM is not initialized and the POST RAM test is also shown as disable, Hence I suggest you to engage support for further help on troubleshooting it and getting this issue resolved.
Regards
Mahesh.
