2TB or larger volumes on LEFTHAND SAN

A while back,  I found a white paper on the HP web site that was located at

and on page 3 had the following statement:

Using a single GPT partition as opposed to several smaller volumes will

negate the benefits gained from LeftHand’s VIP Load Balancing feature.

The link no longer works.  I Googled the above statement and found nothing.  Does anybody know if this is still a valid issue or has the latest SAN/IQ 9.0 software overcome this limitation with GPT drives?
