Anyway to check P4000 VSA Volume Alignment?

Hello,

Is there anyway to ensure the P4000 volumes are aligned with the underlying VMFS?

Thanks.

Hi,

To check that your existing partitions are aligned, issue the command:

fdisk -lu

You can also refer below document which should help.

http://www.vmware.com/pdf/esx3_partition_align.pdf

Re: Anyway to check P4000 VSA Volume Alignment?

Thanks. I am actually wondering if there is a way to check that the LeftHand volumes are aligned with the VMFS that they are built upon. I know the VMFS datastores created on the lefthand volumes are aligned, because they were created using the vSphere client.

I don't know how to tell if the LeftHand volumes are aligned with the local VMFS datastores.

Thanks.
