BK716B Operating System

Hi,

I have been tasked with setting up a BK716B. However the one im using has no operating system or relevant disks to install one. Should this storageworks not come with a storage works operating system?

Regards

Re: BK716B Operating System

You'll need to reimage the systems using the following instructions:
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02008653.pdf

If you don't have the HP LeftHand System Recovery CD and Management DVD discs, you should call your region's HP support phone number and ask if discs can be sent to you. In my past experiences with similar issues, typically upon verification of your system's serial number information HP can provide the appropriate discs for some nominal postage & handling fee.

Actually, looks like you may be able to download the latest discs and burn them yourself - see the HP Software Depot:

Re: BK716B Operating System

They do not come with restore discs. It is very wise to have them, and the keys necessary (to activate the unit) should an emergency occur.

VERY WISE.

Put the DVD iso and the current activation keys on a USB stick and tape it to the unit. no joke!
