Change IP addresses of my 2 x P4500's and FOM in standard Cluster.
Hi
When we orgininally purchased the 2 P4500 devices they were only going to be backend storage for a 2 node Windows 2008 File server cluster, we only created a small subnet for the ISCSI LAN, now this things have changed and we need to change the subnet as we need more IP addresses.
Is there a best practive way of doing this, i can get a change window for downtime, my main concern is safety of the data, i do not want to have to rebuuild the P4500 cluster and then the Windows Cluster and restore data.
Can anyone help me here.
Thanks
Nick

Re: Change IP addresses of my 2 x P4500's and FOM in standard Cluster.
no downtime required!
well that is assuming that your original subnet is included inside of the new larger subnet. (eg 10.0.0.0/24 change to 10.0.0.0/23).
The way you can avoid downtime is that you initially have to keep the IP addresses of everybody the same. Then you can change the subnets for each adapter without any problem. Finally, once you change everybody's netmask, you can then change IP addresses to the new range without a problem.
