FOM is offline and cannot find the node with the serial number

FOM is offline and cannot find the node with the serial number

I am getting the following error in the Left hand management console for the SAN

 

'FOM is offline and cannot find the node with the serial number.'

 

This occurred after I rebooted and updated the firmware on the SAN.

 

I can view the SAN ok, it is just the FOM

 

Any  ideas?

The easiest thing to do is just re-install it.

Just out of curiosity how many nodes do you have in the management group?

What kind of FOM is it?

Have you tried restarting if for the host os side?
