HP Storage Works Lefthand P4300 G2-connect nic's to seperate VLans

We are setting up our P4300 G2 Lefthands and we were trying to find out if we could set up our nic's so each would be on a seperate VLan? We will be having an outside source connecting to one Vlan and would like the other nic to be on an internal management network. Is this possible?

Why would you do that? The purpose of both of the NICs is throughput and availability.

Yes that is possible.

Just make sure that the 1st nic on the Nodes are configured with iscsi traffic IP Address.

But it is definitively not the Preferred Option.

If you Bond the nics and use ALB bonding you should be able to achieve 2Gbps read speeds and 1 Gbps write speeds.

As the others have stated, it is easily done. Make sure you do not create any sort of bond on the NIC interfaces. You should then configure only one NIC to be used for the iSCSI traffic, while the second is configured for your management network.

As an alternate option, you could always setup access control lists to only allow management traffic to your cluster from your management network, thus allowing both NIC's to be configured as ALB (the preferred setup).
