Hello,
We have a new storage in our server room, the sv3200.
We got a 4 fiber ports and 4 1Gb port.
I wont to configure the 1Gb port to let some of my hosts use it and I am filing at it.
I did configure the network and I created a bond. I am able to send ping to the hots and the host sends to the 1Gb lan port.
I cannot find the place I am configuring the iSCSI initiator or anything. All I see are server configuration using fiber.
I did search the internet for some guide with no success finding any useful info.

Re: Hard time configuring iSCSI on new hpe sv3200
The SV3200 FC does not support any iSCSI connectivity via the 1GbE ports. Hence, your trouble to get it working.

Re: Hard time configuring iSCSI on new hpe sv3200
Thanks for the replay.
Can you point me to other options?
For what use there are this 1Gbe ports?
Is it possible to use FC and iSCSI (for different hosts)

Re: Hard time configuring iSCSI on new hpe sv3200
I've just read this :
http://h20565.www2.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=c05244955 (pge 32)
and I see that FC and iSCSI should work together.

SolutionHi
these are the possible configurations for SV3200 Enclosure
тАУ4 1GbE embedded RJ45 (2 ports per controller)
-8 1GbE embedded RJ45 (4 ports per controller)
тАУ4 10GbE SFP+ and 4 1GbE (2 10GbE SFPs and 2 embedded RJ45 ports per controller)
тАУ4 FibreChannel (16G or 8G SFPs) and 4 1GbE (2 FibreChannel SFPs and 2 embedded RJ45 ports per controller)
when using fibre channel configuration 1Gbe ports are used for managment only.

Re: Hard time configuring iSCSI on new hpe sv3200
Thanks 4 the answer!
Can you tell me why is it like this?
Why when in FC the 1GbE used for managment only?

Re: Hard time configuring iSCSI on new hpe sv3200
Hi
it's by design the SV3200 has many limitations unlike the MSA2040

Re: Hard time configuring iSCSI on new hpe sv3200
StoreVirtual 3200 supports either iSCSI OR FC host connections, not both with the same system. It's not designed to have concurrent host connects via different networks. On your FC based StoreVirtual 3200, the 1GbE ports are used for management and remote replication. That's what it says on page 32 of the Installation Guide that you found. When you connect to that port and follow the instructions on page 39, you access the management console to configure the StoreVirtual 3200.
