Howto: Perform Oracle DB snapshots from virtualized Oracle server (windows)

Hi,

 

I'm not sure how to design this:

I want to have snapshots (regularly) from an Oracle database on the storage. The Oracle - Server is Windows-based and VMware virtualized. I want to use HP4000 Storage Nodes for storing the data.

 

Is it enough to schedule snapshots from the CMC to get application consistent snapshots?

 

Or what else do I have to do?
