Message from my HP LeftHand P4500 : Value exceeds 95
Hello,
For few days, I receive some alert from my HP LeftHand Cluster P4500.
Here is the error:
13:53:36 p4500-n1 hydra: Management Group: 'p4500-mgmt'; Cluster: 'p4500-cluster' Utilization = 99.9996. Value exceeds 95.
I receive the alert from my node 1 and 2. And sometimes, whe the error occurs I can no longer ping tne node 1. It appears down in the SAN/IQ console. I don't understand the reason of this alert. The SAN is not full. On the console "utilization" is 72%.
Here are information on the hardware configuation:
Node 1 and 2:
Raid 5.
Raw Space : 4,91 TB
Usable Space: 4,01 TB
Volume 1 named "HV":
Size : 4.01
Replication Level : 2-Way
Provisoned Space : 8.03 TB
Provisioning : Full
Have you got some explanations about this alert ?
Thanks for your help.
Fabrice.

Re: Message from my HP LeftHand P4500 : Value exceeds 95
why the full provisioned LUN?
If you are trying to make a snapshot of a full provisioned LUN, I believe that snapshot becomes full as well and that would take you over your limit.
There are very few reasons ever to use a full provisioned LUN so my first suggestion would be to convert that and then I bet your problem will go away.
