Storage Boards Cleanup
To make it easier to find information about HPE Storage products and solutions, we are doing spring cleaning. This includes consolidation of some older boards, and a simpler structure that more accurately reflects how people use HPE Storage.

Multisite SV3200 Cluster with NR10 and NR0

Hi there,
At the moment i wont come to a conclustion how a System reacts in a SV3200 multisite scenario where i have NR10 and NR0 Volumes mixed. Will SV3200 keep the NR0 Volume on one Site so if that site goes down only this Volume is affected?

Backgroud is that i have some apps that are mirroring itself so i wont need NR10 and others don´t so i´d leverage both but if NR0 means that these Volumes get stretched to both sites and every NR0 volume will be offline in case one site is failing it is useless to me.

Re: Multisite SV3200 Cluster with NR10 and NR0

All volumes are striped with the requested NR level across all controller nodes in a SV3200 cluster.

Hence, a NR0 volume will be striped across both sites and will go offline if you lose one site.

Thank you for that answer.
I talked to HPE recently and added this as a feature request.
