New Multipating Module for 12.0
Does anyone know if you still would use port binding after installing the new HP_PSP_LH MEM in ESXi 5.5
The documentation isnt very clear on this.
Thank You

Re: New Multipating Module for 12.0
You didn't use port binding for the VMware iSCSI connectivity. If you did have two NICs for the iSCSI connectivity of your VMware server, then you did use the native VMware MPIO setup for iSCSI. The new LH MEM is only an addition to this setup.

Hi HPstorageTom,
you wrote that we can't use iSCSI port Binding for the VMware iSCSI connectivity.
Is this correct? Are you sure?
Look here:
https://www.vmware.com/files/pdf/techpaper/vmw-vsphere-p4000-lefthand-san-solutions.pdf
and here:
http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=2038869
and here:

and here:
http://vmfocus.com/2012/10/01/part-2-how-to-install-configure-hp-storevirtual-vsa-on-vsphere-5-1/
etc., etc.,
In this links is recommended to use or enable iSCSI port Binding for VMware with HP StoreVirtual !!!

Re: New Multipating Module for 12.0
I have always used port binding back to LH version 8.0
Also I just built a two cluster node on DL380 Gen 9 systems, I use HP ESXi5.5 update2 iso.
And for some reason I cannot connect to the HP storevirtual volumes unless I use port binding.
Maybe someone has run into this.
Thanks
