I have P4500 G2 28.8 I would like to move my snapshots to a lower tier storage, is it possible with this model?
Can I add P4300 with 7200 RPM drives and configure P4500 to write all snapshots to that storage node?

Re: P4500 architecture
You can add 4300s to the MG and make a second cluster. You can then use remote snapshots from 4500 to 4300.

SolutionHi,
Yes this is possible with all P4xxx (Lefthand) models.
Only thing U need to do is create a second cluster which will be the other tier. When U make a snapshot U can choose the destination cluster to store the snapshots...
Kr,
Bart

Re: P4500 architecture
And don't forget you can also use the VSA's you got included with your 28.8TB SAN. If you really want low tier storage, you can use some old servers with internal disks, throw ESXi on, and create Network-Raid 10 volumes using VSA's.
