SAN/iQ 8.5 - When/where is it available?

Hi All,

Anyone know how or when we'll be able to download the 8.5 software?

I had read somewhere it would be available to existing customers on the 29th of March but it hasn't shown up on the HP software download site for the P4000's (i've been checking:http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=3936176&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=3936136&swLang=13&taskId=135&swEnvOID=54)

Try checking this URL. It currently lists v8.1, but I suspect once v8.5 is available it will show up here.

I've been checking every hour or so (some blue screen issues will hopefully be sorted with the new version of the DSM and VSS provider)...

Managed to download it around 5pm Australian time (Brisbane to be precise...)

Although we can now use this link to get management and vsa software for v8.5 there is no download for upgrades of a P4500 node from v8.1 to 8.5.
Does anybody know any better or how we upgrade to 8.5 on existing nodes?

Same issue here, we are unable to find 8.5 firmware for our P4300's, though I have downloaded the 8.5 CMC

Hi Guys,

I've tried to chase this through HP Support.
It's all abit confusing really - the little slip of paper that came in the box with the P4300 nodes says that to obtain support and software downloads you must register the product by calling HP support to obtain a SAID or System Handle - trouble is they don't seem to know anything about this.

Anyhow - the response that I got about 2 hours ago was that the software has not been released yet (?) and that it would be available by the end of the week.

I'm a little dubiuos but after spending the last 3 days trying to chase this (go-live deadline is looming and blue screens due to DPM and VSS a bit of a showstopper) I guess I can wait another day or 2.

If anyone does sort out how to obtain the software please respond asap...
