Space reclamation from VM guest
Hello,
today i enabled Space Recl. for my managment group. Vmware can use it without problem. Nice:-).
But I have question about guest in esxi. We have CentOS 6.x servers. Is here some way to enable "fstrim" in CentOS when storage is now supporting space reclamation?
Thank you
Pavel

Re: Space reclamation from VM guest
don't know about centOS, but generally it requires a rescan of the storage LUNs by the OS so it can repopulate the LUNs listed features. I'm a M$ guy and that generally required a disk rescan, but in practice I found it easier to just disconnect and reconnect for me, but I didn't have downtime issues to worry about when I made the transition.
