Upgrading P4500 SANiQ 8.3

Hi Guys,

I have two P4500 nodes furnished with SANiQ 8.3. I have downloaded all updates via CMC, having upgraded the CMC to 9.5 and all up-to-date patches.

What I have noticed is the CMC does not show any status or available patches to upgrade the nodes to 9.5?.

How does one upgrade 8.3 nodes to 9.5?

Hi vmcreator,

The only SANiQ version present are 8.0, 8.1, 8.5, 9.0 and 9.5

you might have a SANiQ 8.5

If you select Upgrades Tab

You will find your management group

Continue button will be highlighted..

Clicking on it will upgrade all nodes in the Management Group

Hi Jitun,

Thanks for the reply. Since I posted this message, the CMC has now updated itself to finally show it can upgrade from 8.1 [ not 8.3 my mistake] to 9.5.

It took a long time to show this status over 5 hours?, it was only showing 8.1 applicable updates?

I alos have a faulty disk which is being replaced, it will then hopefully let me upgrade to 9.5 :-)

Upgrade only takes place as long as there is no hardware issues.

Hence once Drive gets replaced and it has rebuild, you would be able to Upgrade..
