VSS Snapshot of GPT disk

Is anyone able to use DiskShadow on a GPT formatted disk using the P4000 VSS provider. This is on Server 2008r2. MBR Formatted disks work fine, Attempting DiskShadow on GPT disks gives the following error, and an accompaning error in  the System Log. I have an open call with HP about this, but wanted to ask what success other people have had.

DISKSHADOW> set context persistent

DISKSHADOW> add volume F:

DISKSHADOW> create

The last operation failed.

         - Returned HRESULT: 80042306

         - Error text: VSS_E_PROVIDER_VETO

Re: VSS Snapshot of GPT disk

Read through but that thread doesn't appear relevant as it concerns forcing a correct VSS provider to be used. I'm sure that the HP VSS provider is being correctly used as it is mentioned in the system log.

Anyone had any success doing a snapshot of a GPT formatted disk using either DiskShadow or Application Managed Snapshots?
